On September 17, 2011, Weddings Beautiful Worldwide, Philippines branch conducted its first workshop for wedding planners at SnR Studio, Pasig City.
It was a day filled with fun and learning!
There were 33 wedding planners based in Metro Manila, Butuan, Davao, Palawan, Iloilo, Laguna and Lucena who participated in the workshop.
Merlene Marcelo, a reputable couture for more than a decade gave tips on how to fix wedding gown mishaps.
Serge Igonia, a known florist who serviced the wedding of Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez demonstrated how to create a bouquet and boutonniere in cases where florist delivery is incomplete.
And Bernalyn Salvador-Yap, owner and President of Weddings Beautiful Worldwide, Philippines personally conducted the seminar which dealt on the following topics:
- Different wedding traditions.
- Basic wedding duties and responsibilities during the planning stage, event proper, and post event.
- How to manage guests, vendors and clients
- Scope of work of a wedding planner
After the workshop, certificates of Attendance were handed out to all participants. Everyone in the seminar, had a blast and will keep in touch by creating a yahoogroup, “Bliss 101″!
